A Spring Family Photoshoot in Trumbull, CT - Fairfield County Photographer
Family sessions are back! We kicked off the spring season with one of my favorite families, FULLY styled from the client closet. ⠀
I've told the story before of how I had trouble even giving a session away when I first started. This family was one of the few to take me up on that offer, and was actually the first people I ever photographed who weren't my own kids. Their littlest, who is now six, was just a few weeks old. They came to my house, I scrambled to find Home Goods baskets and blankets off of my couch to pose her in, and basically fell in love with newborn photography.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
After Lucy's newborn pictures, we went to my backyard to take some family photos. I'd been so worried about my camera settings and just trying to get the pictures in focus, that I hadn't even thought beyond that! I remember a distinct moment where I lifted my camera - they looked at me not knowing what to do, and I looked at them not knowing what to do. And at that moment I realized...ohhhhh, there's a lot more to this than just taking pictures! From there, the journey to learning and developing family poses and prompts began.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Despite my cluelessness, we captured some of the most beautiful photos that day. I love seeing them proudly displayed around their home, and knowing that those pictures made me fall in love with photography make them forever special to me. But six years later, it's safe to say that we have BOTH glowed up quite a bit.
Thank you to this sweet crew for supporting me every step of the way - I just ADORE photographing your family every single time! There’s not a better group I could have hoped to kick off the spring with.
