Sisters Maternity Shoot - New Fairfield, CT Newborn Photographer
After photographing Kelsey’s first pregnancy two years ago to the mark, I was so excited when she reached out to tell me she was pregnant again…and better yet, so was her sister, Jess! As both sisters live out of state, we coordinated their shoot to happen while they were home in Connecticut visiting their family for the holidays. This was my first time doing a shoot of this kind, and it was so much fun! Luckily I have A LOT of Sew Trendy maternity gowns in my client closet, so we had no issue planning a few looks that would coordinate great together.
We ended up with an unseasonably warm day, and took advantage of the muted tones that Mother Nature gave us. We planned a neutral pairing of a mocha custom-made Sew Trendy gown paired with one of my most popular styles, the Krysten in ivory. We then moved on to a bold jewel toned pairing with an Audrey in blue spruce and Krysten in burgundy, followed up with two individual looks of a Lacy in evergreen and an Emerlie in plum. I love how different each dress looked, and then we had fun playing with lots of accessories too!
Jess and Kelsey totally rocked this session, as did their families! I’ve known these two mamas forever and am so excited to see them start their own families, and to see those families grow! Thank you again for thinking of me during your trip home - what a fun maternity shoot this was to be a part of!
