A Fairfield County Winter Maternity Session

A question I get all of the time…but will a winter maternity session still be pretty even if it doesn’t snow? Won’t it be all, like, DEAD looking? And the answer is absolutely not! When the right location is chosen at the right time of day, the neutral tones of winter will be the most perfect backdrop for your photos, and you’ll get to enjoy the golden tall grass that you can truthfully only get when it’s dead. Not only is it a beautiful backdrop, but it’s the perfect neutral base for the most flattering skin tones.

This location is one of my favorites in Fairfield County, Connecticut that I use for maternity sessions through the winter - birch trees, tall grass, and still water at sunset…these are just a few of my favorite things! Alexandra chose the most perfect variety of winter maternity gowns…velvet, sequins, and faux fur gave us no shortage of texture and we just had the best time celebrating this special chapter for the soon to be Mom and Dad!
