My Favorite Fairfield County, CT Locations: Field

The biggest misconception that I hear from clients is that they think they need a really grand or complicated location for their session. The truth is, I love nothing more than an open field for capturing your family's love! An open field provides a simple backdrop with just enough texture, color and the ideal layout for an amazing sunset.

Fields are available year round, but the best season to use them are in the late fall. This is when the grass dries out to a beautiful golden brown, giving use the most beautiful texture to surround your family. Keeping the backdrop simple also allows us to have no distractions, which allows your family's interactions with each other to remain the focus.

Connecticut is full of beautiful fields, but my favorites are in Westport, Litchfield and New Canaan, as well as a few hidden gems in Fairfield and New Haven County.. When styling your family for a field, I recommend soft muted tones paired with a rich anchor color. This will allow you to stand out against your backdrop just enough, while still coordinating beautifully!
